In early February this year, I took a weekend trip to Kentucky's first state park, Pine Mountain State Resort Park, and I stayed in one of the park's original CCC built log cabins from the 1930s. When I arrived, I was greeted with a beautiful sunset. Although I unfortunately came down with the flu, at the same time I learned about the photo contest with the state's "New Kentucky Home" initiative, and I won! (which includes a two-night stay at a Kentucky State Park lodge). As KY State Parks posted, "From February-April, those who tag #NewKyHome will have a chance to win. Governor Andy Beshear will announce a winner once a month during Team Kentucky updates!" Below is my winning photo, as well as a few other photos from the trip, and Governor Beshear's Team Kentucky update which includes the announcement of my winning photo at timestamp 27:27.
